Sand casting is a highly flexible manufacturing process in which sand is used to create moulds tailored to the product. Molten metal is poured into metal or wooden patterns to form the required shapes.
Production can be carried out as hand mould casting, machine mould casting or mask mould casting.
A wide range of materials can be processed, including lamellar graphite cast iron, spheroidal graphite cast iron, malleable cast iron as well as steel and stainless steel alloys. For components requiring exceptional wear resistance, ADI (Austempered Ductile Iron) can be produced through controlled heat treatment.
