USD continuously invests in quality and quality assurance. Most recently, in 2022, the company planned and built its own quality and service centre in accordance with VDI/VDE 2627, quality class 2. Tests, measurements and calibrations are carried out under similar temperature- and humidity-controlled conditions.
Our microclimate-controlled measuring rooms are equipped with modern measuring devices such as 3D coordinate measuring machines, optical measuring machines, contour and roughness measuring devices, hardness testing equipment, spectrometers and various measuring and testing devices to ensure consistently high product quality. We attach great importance to correctly calibrated measuring equipment and the selection of measuring instruments and methods that are suitable for your application.
In the case of acceptance-specific requirements, special approvals or other technical certifications, these are carried out by partners, experts and testing and calibration laboratories accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, enabling us to offer a very broad and high-quality package of tests.
We involve our trained specialists from the areas of quality assurance and advance planning as early as the feasibility assessment phase for new components in order to clarify any challenges in series delivery in advance as part of a measurability test and, if necessary, to coordinate a joint measurement strategy with production and our customer, including drawing optimisation if required. In the following, initial samples and series parts are tested and documented by our team of experts in accordance with requirements in operational quality assurance.
The CAQ software integrated with the ERP software covers numerous quality assurance levels, from planning and testing to the evaluation of quality indicators. Standardised and digitised processes and clear communication thus provide systematic and reliable support for quality assurance and quality management tasks.
