Die casting

Die casting is a manufacturing process in which molten metal is injected into a steel mould under high pressure.

Aluminium, zinc and magnesium alloys are most commonly used in this process. Other non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead and tin can also be processed.

Thanks to modern mould technology, die casting is particularly suitable for medium to large production volumes.

In direct comparison to other casting methods, die casting offers outstanding dimensional precision and surface quality.

In many cases, complex post-processing is unnecessary, as the parts are produced very close to the final contour.
